Lillian: The following contest is a first round match-up of the King Of the Ring Tournament, and is scheduled for 1 fall!
On the way to the ring, from Cameron, North Carolina, he is one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Jeff Hardy!
And his opponent, from Washington DC, he is one half of the JCW Tag Team Champions, and JCW United States Champion, Batista!
The bell sounds signaling the start of the match. They go to tie up, but Jeff ducks it and gets behind Batista, and clubs him in the back with his forearm. Jeff hits him again in the back, then bounces off the ropes back towards Batista. Batista though turns around and hits Jeff with a clothesline and sends him crashing to the mat. Batista grabs Jeff by his hair and gets him back up, then whips him into the ropes. As Jeff bounces back, Batista bends down for a back body drop, but Jeff stops in front of him and kicks him in the shoulder. Batista stands up and runs at Jeff for a clothesline, but Hardy ducks and pulls the top rope down causing Batista to fly over the top and down to the floor. Jeff waits for Batista to get back up, and when he does, Jeff jumps over the top rope and hits a Flying Cross Body
JR: The High risk of Smackdown’s Jeff Hardy pays off there!
Batista and Jeff get up at the same time, and Jeff hits him with a forearm to the jaw. Batista backs up and Hardy pushes him into the ring barricade. Jeff then pulls the ring steps away from the ring post and puts them in front of Batista, then hits Batista with another forearm before backing up. Jeff runs and hits Poetry In Motion using the steps. The ref reaches a count of 5 when Jeff returns into the ring, as Batista stays propped up against the barricade. The ref gets to a count of 7 before Batista starts stirring, but before he can get back into the ring, Edge pops up from behind the barricade and hits Batista over the head with a steel chair. The ref sees Edge hit Batista and calls for the bell
Lillian: Here is your winner, Batista!
Jeff looks down at Edge in frustration and disbelief. Edge gives a cocky smile as he runs off through the crowd. Jeff leans against the ropes looking down at Batista
